You Are Fearfully and Wonderfully Made
“I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.”
Psalm 139:14
Devotional
Dear sister,
One of the most painful parts of infertility is the way it makes you question yourself. You may find yourself wondering what is wrong with your body, or why something so natural seems so out of reach. Those questions can quietly grow into doubts about your worth and even your place in the world.
But God’s Word speaks with a louder voice. Long before this struggle began, He declared that you are fearfully and wonderfully made. You are not a mistake. You are not broken beyond hope. You are His masterpiece, created with care, intention, and love. Your value does not come from what you can or cannot do. It comes from the One who shaped you in His image and called you His own.
The truth is that your life holds a beauty and purpose that reaches far beyond motherhood. While the longing for a child is real and valid, it is not the full measure of who you are. God has written dignity, value, and worth into every part of your being. To rest in that truth is to step into the freedom of knowing that you are deeply loved just as you are.
Prayer
Lord,
Thank You for creating me with such care and intention. When I feel broken or inadequate, remind me that I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Teach me to see myself through Your eyes, not through the lens of my struggles. Help me to rest in the truth that my worth comes from You alone.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Your Worth Is in Christ Alone
“According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love.”
Ephesians 1:4
Devotional
Infertility often carries with it an invisible weight of comparison. It is easy to look at others—friends, family, even strangers—and feel as if you fall short. The culture around you may suggest that a woman’s value is tied to her ability to bear children, but God’s Word tells a very different story. Before the foundation of the world, before your first breath, He chose you in love. Your worth has never been dependent on motherhood, accomplishments, or the approval of others.
In Christ, you are seen as holy, beloved, and precious. Your identity is not rooted in what you do but in who you belong to. This truth offers a freedom the world cannot give. Even in seasons of deep longing, you can stand firm in the assurance that you are chosen by God and cherished beyond measure. You are His daughter, chosen not for what you produce, but for who you are in Him.
Prayer
Father,
Thank You for choosing me before the world was formed and for calling me Your beloved daughter. When I feel less than or when I compare myself to others, remind me that my worth is safe in Christ alone. Help me to rest in Your love and to walk with confidence in the identity You have given me.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Called to a Greater Purpose
“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.”
Ephesians 2:10
Devotional
Infertility can make life feel painfully narrow, as if your worth and calling begin and end with the ability to have children. But God speaks a much bigger truth over you: you are His workmanship, crafted with care and intention. Before you were born, He set apart good works for you to walk in. Motherhood is a beautiful calling, but it is not the only one. God has designed your life with meaning and purpose that extends into every season, even this one.
Your story is not defined only by what is missing. It is shaped by the ways God is working through you right now—through the compassion you show others, the faith you cultivate in hardship, and the strength you find when you lean on Him. Every act of kindness, every word of encouragement, every prayer whispered in faith is part of the good work He prepared for you.
As you wait, remember that your life already carries purpose. You are not set aside; you are set apart. God can use your story, even in its unfinished places, to bring light, comfort, and hope to others.
Prayer
Lord,
Thank You for creating me as Your workmanship. Help me to see the purpose You have given me, even in this season of waiting. Teach me to walk faithfully in the good works You prepared for me, and remind me that my calling in You is bigger than my circumstances. Use my life to glorify You and to bless others along the way.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
