Day 1
Healing the Wounds
“He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.”
When you have been wounded by abuse, the pain does not simply disappear with time. It lives quietly inside you—in your memories, in your fears, and sometimes in the way you protect your heart. Many women try to move on by pretending they are fine, yet deep inside, the ache still whispers, “I’m not fully healed.”
But here is the truth: God sees every scar, even the ones you hide from yourself. His healing does not come through denial or self-effort. It comes when you allow His love to enter the deepest, most fragile parts of your heart. Healing is not about erasing the past; it is about inviting God to transform what once broke you into something that now reveals His power and grace.
Today, take a quiet moment and imagine handing your pain to Jesus. Picture Him holding your heart in His gentle hands. Let Him remind you that your story is not over. The same God who heals the brokenhearted is already working within you. Healing is a process, but it begins with surrender and trust.
Prayer
Lord, I bring before You the wounds I have carried for far too long. You know the pain that still lingers, the fears that keep me guarded, and the tears I rarely let fall. Touch my heart where it hurts the most and bring Your peace into those places. Teach me to rest in Your love and believe that nothing from my past can outweigh the beauty of Your redemption. I trust You to heal me, restore me, and make me whole again.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
Day 2
Releasing the Past
“Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.”
One of the hardest things to do after abuse is to let go of what happened. The past can feel like a shadow that follows you everywhere—a memory that still has power over how you see yourself, how you trust others, and even how you see God. Sometimes, without realizing it, we replay the pain again and again, as if keeping it close somehow protects us from being hurt again. But in truth, holding onto the past only keeps us bound to it.
God is inviting you into freedom. He is not asking you to pretend the pain never happened or to ignore your story. He is gently calling you to release it—to give it to Him, the only One strong enough to carry it. Releasing the past does not mean dismissing what was done to you; it means choosing to no longer let it define your identity.
There is peace waiting for you on the other side of surrender. When you release the memories that hold you captive, you make room for the new things God longs to do in your life. He can bring beauty out of brokenness and hope out of despair. Today, whisper to Him, “Lord, I’m ready to let go.” And trust that His hands are steady enough to hold both your pain and your future.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, I am tired of carrying my past like a weight I can’t set down. You know every detail of what I’ve been through, and You see how it still tries to hold me back. Today, I choose to release it into Your care. Help me forgive where forgiveness feels impossible. Cleanse my heart of bitterness and fear. I want to walk in the freedom You promise, unchained by yesterday and renewed by Your mercy. Thank You for the new beginning You are writing in my life.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
Day 3
Learning to Trust Again
“When I am afraid, I will trust in thee.”
Trust is one of the most fragile parts of the human heart. When you have been hurt, especially by someone who should have protected and cherished you, trust begins to feel like a dangerous thing. Your heart starts whispering, “Never again.” You begin to believe that trusting anyone will only lead to more pain. But here’s the gentle truth: your ability to trust again begins not with people, but with God.
God is not like the one who wounded you. He does not manipulate, betray, or abandon. His love is pure, steady, and healing. He invites you to place your trembling heart in His hands and to let Him show you what safety feels like again. Trusting God is not about ignoring your fears; it is about letting His faithfulness speak louder than them. It is learning to say, “Even when I do not understand, I will rest in Your goodness.”
Today, ask God to help you take one small step toward trust. Maybe it means opening your heart to a new friend, or maybe it simply means whispering, “Lord, I trust You,” even when your heart trembles. Healing does not mean forgetting what happened; it means no longer letting fear decide your future.
Prayer
Lord, You know how hard it is for me to trust again. My heart still remembers the pain, and sometimes it feels safer to stay guarded. But I know You are not like those who hurt me. You are good, kind, and faithful. Teach me to trust You with every part of my life. Heal my fears and show me what true safety in Your love feels like. When the enemy tries to remind me of the past, remind me instead of Your promises. I choose today to take a small step toward trust. I place my heart in Your hands, believing You will never let it fall.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
