Devotional
School life can often feel like you are carrying too many things at once. There are assignments to finish, friendships to maintain, activities to join, and hobbies you want to enjoy. On top of that, family responsibilities and personal struggles may weigh on you. It is no wonder you sometimes feel pulled in so many directions that your time with God slips to the bottom of your list.
But Jesus offers a different way. He reminds us that balance begins not by spreading yourself thinner, but by seeking Him first. Putting God first is not about fitting Him into a busy schedule as if He were just another task. It is about making Him the center, the foundation on which everything else stands. When your day begins with Him, when your choices are guided by His Word, you discover a peace that steadies you even when life feels overwhelming.
Balance is not about doing everything perfectly. It is about trusting that when you give God first place, He will help you carry the rest.
Prayer
Lord,
Help me to begin each day with You at the center of my heart and mind. Teach me to trust that when I seek You first, You will provide the wisdom and strength I need for my schoolwork, my friendships, and the things I enjoy. Keep my priorities aligned with Your heart and fill me with peace that comes only from You.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Devotional
Time can feel like it slips through your fingers. One moment you are sitting in class, and before you know it, the day is gone, leaving you wondering where all the hours went. School assignments, social media, conversations with friends, hobbies, and unexpected distractions can quickly consume your schedule. If you are not intentional, the things that matter most — including your relationship with God — can easily be pushed aside.
Scripture reminds us to “number our days.” That means learning to see time as a precious gift from God, something to be invested wisely rather than wasted thoughtlessly. Balance is not about filling every moment with work, nor is it about feeling guilty when you rest. It is about asking God to help you set priorities so that your schoolwork, your friendships, your creativity, and your time with Him all have their proper place.
When you manage your time with God’s wisdom, you will notice a difference. Instead of feeling constantly overwhelmed, you will begin to experience peace. Instead of being pulled in a dozen directions, you will know what matters most. And instead of losing hours to distractions, you will find yourself making space for what strengthens your spirit and helps you grow.
Prayer
Father,
Thank You for giving me the gift of time. Teach me to use my hours wisely and not to waste them on things that leave me empty. Show me how to balance my schoolwork, my time with You, and the activities I enjoy. Help me live each day with purpose, making choices that honor You and bring peace to my heart.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Life at school can feel exhausting. The pressure to keep up with assignments, the weight of expectations from teachers or family, and the constant need to juggle friendships, hobbies, and responsibilities can leave you drained. Sometimes you may even feel like no matter how hard you try, it is never enough.
In the middle of all this, Jesus offers you an invitation: “Come unto me… and I will give you rest.” This rest is not only about getting more sleep, though your body needs that too. It is a deeper rest, the kind that soothes your heart and calms your mind. It is the peace that comes from knowing you are loved not because of your performance, but simply because you belong to Him.
Finding rest in God means creating space to pause and be still in His presence. It might be a quiet prayer before class, a few moments with Scripture during lunch, or simply sitting in silence and remembering that He is with you. When you draw near to Him, He lifts the burdens you were never meant to carry alone and replaces them with His peace.
True balance in life is impossible without rest. And true rest is found most deeply in God.
Prayer
Jesus,
I bring You my weariness and all the pressures I carry. Thank You for inviting me to rest in You. Teach me to slow down and make room for Your presence even in the busiest parts of my day. Calm my anxious thoughts, refresh my spirit, and remind me that I do not have to do everything on my own. My rest is found in You.
In Your holy name, Amen.
