Praying for a Miracle: Trusting God in Infertility - Daily Devotional For Women

Bible image

Day 1

“For with God nothing shall be impossible.”
Luke 1:37

Devotional

Dear sister,
Infertility can feel like standing before a wall that refuses to move, no matter how much you pray, hope, or try. Each month can feel like a fresh reminder of what has not yet happened, and with every disappointment, the word impossible seems to echo louder in your mind. It is in those moments that faith feels fragile, and doubt begins to creep in.
Yet Scripture speaks with a truth that does not bend to our circumstances. “For with God nothing shall be impossible.” This is not just a hopeful phrase; it is the very foundation of who He is. The God who brought life to Sarah’s barren womb, who gave Hannah the child she longed for, and who caused Elizabeth to conceive in her old age, is the same God who holds your life in His hands today. His power has not diminished, and His love for you has not changed.
Faith does not deny the difficulty of your journey. It does not pretend that the pain is less real. Instead, faith chooses to believe that God’s power is greater than the obstacle before you. It looks at what seems impossible and says, “My God is able.” Even if the outcome does not come in the way or the time you expect, you can rest in the assurance that He is a miracle-working God who sees you, loves you, and is always at work for your good.

Prayer

Lord,
I believe You are the God who makes the impossible possible. You see the wall that feels unmovable in my life, and You know the ache of my heart. Strengthen my faith when doubts rise, and remind me that no obstacle is greater than Your power. Help me to rest in Your love and to place my hope fully in You.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Day 2

“And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed unto the Lord, and wept sore.”
1 Samuel 1:10

Devotional

Few passages in Scripture capture the rawness of infertility like Hannah’s story. She carried the deep ache of an empty womb, and her grief overflowed into prayer that could not be neatly packaged. The Bible tells us that she was in “bitterness of soul” and that she wept before the Lord with all the pain her heart could hold. She did not hide her sorrow. She did not try to appear strong. Instead, she poured out her soul honestly before the One who could bear it.
God did not turn away from Hannah’s tears. He met her in them. And He does the same for you. Your tears are not a sign of weak faith; they are an expression of your deepest trust. When you cry out to God, you are bringing the fullness of your heart into His presence, and He welcomes it. He is not weary of your prayers, and He is not put off by your questions. He treasures every word, every sigh, and every silent cry.
Sometimes we think prayer must be polished, but Hannah’s story reminds us that God delights in our honesty. It is often in those unfiltered moments that His comfort comes closest. Like Hannah, you can bring your anguish to the Lord, knowing He understands the depth of your longing and that He is faithful to hear.

Prayer

Father,
Like Hannah, I come before You with my heart laid bare. You see the ache that no one else sees, and You hear the cries that never make it past my lips. Please receive my tears as prayer and hold me in Your arms when the weight feels too heavy. Teach me to trust that You hear me, even when the answer has not yet come.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Day 3

“For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.”
2 Corinthians 1:20

Devotional

In the quiet moments of waiting, it can be tempting to wonder if God’s promises still apply to you. When prayers seem unanswered and time feels like an enemy, doubt whispers that maybe God has forgotten. Yet His Word declares something powerful: every promise He has made finds its fulfillment in Christ. That means His promises are not fragile or uncertain—they are unshakable, sealed by His faithfulness.
God promises to never leave you nor forsake you. He promises peace that passes understanding, strength for the weary, and hope that does not disappoint. These promises are not dependent on circumstances or medical reports. They are grounded in His character, which never changes. Trusting His promises does not mean ignoring your pain; it means choosing to anchor your heart in His Word, even when life feels unstable.
When you remind yourself of what God has said, you are reminding your soul that He is still in control. His promises hold you steady when emotions rise and circumstances shift. The God who spoke creation into being is the same God who speaks truth over your life. Even now, His promises remain yes and amen for you.

Prayer

Lord,
Thank You that Your promises are true and unchanging. When doubt fills my heart, remind me of the truth of Your Word. Teach me to cling to Your promises and to trust that You are faithful. Let Your Word be my anchor when I feel unsteady, and let my hope rest in who You are.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
